REBELS WITH A CAUSE
Our non-profit was founded in 2005 due to a need for animal welfare education in our community. Over the years our name has changed many times, but our MISSION remains the same, to help as many people and animals as possible.
C.A.W.C. has worked tireless by CONNECTING, EDUCATING, ASSISTING and ADVOCATING for animals within our community and around the country. We work with non-profit shelters and rescues, for-profit companies, schools, prison programs, as well as other organizations and individuals to help the humans and animals
Our volunteers often work behind the scenes without recognition for larger projects that benefits animals and their humans. Our goal with this organization is to share information, tools and resources so that people know they are not alone and there is help out there so that we can bring an reduce unnecessary suffering of animals and humans in this world.
C.A.W.C. HISTORY
2000 MIDLANDS HUMANE SOCIETY started from Independent Research Project at Creighton University, focusing studies on animals in society.
- Animals' Roles in Society; studied zoos, pets, animal testing, factory farming, animals as food.
- Animal Assisted Therapy; benefits to humans.
- Pet Overpopulation; locally and nationally.
- Independent Research Project on our local Council Bluffs Animal Shelter.
- Southwest Iowa Humane Society; organized of the rescue groups and gov't agencies in SWIA.
- Organized Grass Roots Effort; City Officials, Mayor, Director of Public Health, Animal Control Officers and local Rescue Groups to raise awareness about the need for a humane society in the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
2005 MIDWEST ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY was founded focusing on animal welfare, humane education and sheltering in our community.
- Midwest Animal Welfare Society was founded; focusing on humane education and animal rescue.
- Partnered with the Pottawattamie County Animal Shelter; coordinating volunteer program & adoptions.
- Started grassroots campaign with rescue groups in SWIA that evolved into the Midlands Humane Society
- Coordinated project for a much needed humane society in our community in Council Bluffs, IA.
- Co-founder Iowans Against Breed Specific Legislation; educating our citizens and law-makers on the negative affects of BSL while promoting dangerous dog laws.
- Developed Pit Bull Adoption Protocol at local humane societies to adopt pit bulls outside city limits.
2007 Started PAWFECT PET SERVICES pet sitting & dog walking company gaining animal behavior knowledge.
- President of the Omaha Pet Sitters Association.
- Won Scholarship Pet Sitters International.
- Volunteered at Nebraska Humane Society; walking dogs, & leading training classes.
- Member of Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
- Obtained over 10,000 of animal handling skills.
- Managed team of Pet Sitters to service entire Omaha Metro and Council Bluffs area helping hundreds of animals and humans.
- Began studying with top dog trainers around the country.
2014 Founded DHARMA DOG TRAINING and brought balanced training to the Greater Omaha Nebraska and Southwest Iowa Area to help thousands of dogs and owners in need.
- Won Best in Omaha 6 Years in a row.
- Professional Member of International Association of Canine Professionals.
- Traveled the country to work with top trainers to bring balanced training to the Iowa & Nebraska Area.
- Developed first Apprentice Program for people wanting to get into Animal Industry.
- Managed team of Dog Trainers to service entire Omaha Metro and Council Bluffs area helping thousands of dogs and humans.
- Regional Symposium for USPS Postal Workers to prevent dog bites and attacks.
- Put together Roverfront, the first Animal Welfare Conference in our community to educate the public on animal services and resources in our area.
2020 LIFE CHANGING DOG TRAINING IS FORMED after dharma is dissolved after getting Baptized Born Again dedicating my life to Christ sharing "THE GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES."
- Dedicated my life to Christ, got Baptized, Born Again and established LCDT as a Christ centered non-profit.
- Educating people on "Life Changing Dog Training™" Program to help change people's lives with their dogs.
- Teaching the "Communicative Leashwork Process™" to teach others and help more animals.
- Teaching people, training dogs, and changing lives by sharing the gospel in dog training.
- Dog Training founded on Biblical principals that never change and is available to all people.
2025 C.A.W.C. comes full circle, refocused and rebranded as THE GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES working to CONNECT, EDUCATE, ASSIST & ADVOCATE FOR ANIMALS.
- Rebranded MAWS as a Christ centered non-profit to help all God's creatures.
- Focusing on humane education and continuing to help animals and humans in our communities.
- Continuing to connect, educate, assist and advocate for animals in our community.
- Pet Industry Mentorship Program teaching other pet professionals how to thrive in animal industry.
- Featuring our programs in schools, prisons, long term care facilities and other places in need.
- Website with community resources, businesses and programs to help animals and their humans.

C.A.W.C. mission is helping people and animals as possible in our community and around the country by working together and sharing our faith.
We CONNECT, EDUCATE, ASSIST & ADVOCATE for people and animals in our community by sharing resources and services. We share the love of Christ for all creatures to reduce their unnecessary suffering, by working together and helping all God's creatures.
Our vision is that one day pets will not be given up on, dumped at shelters and rescues, and met with a tragic end. Everyday pets are relinquished, re-homed or euthanize in our country. Every year 1.5 million animals are adopted, but unfortunately half of these animals are returned and the number one reason is behavior issues.
We want to improve the systems currently in place to help people and animals. Whether it is mentally, physically, medically or financially. Our hope for our future is to reduce suffering happening in our country, by empowering people with tools and knowledge they will have for the rest of their lives.
Our vision is to continue to put together a strong network of people that have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of animals in our communities by working together.
